Don’t miss our exciting Focus on America season! Each concert will begin with a song for soloist and orchestra from the Great American Songbook. You will hear a familiar wonderful song by American songwriters like Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and others performed by acclaimed Soprano Elizabeth Kluegel.

Each concert will also feature at least one work by an American composer. And we will continue our last season’s
Spotlight on Women Composers theme by performing outstanding works by women composers at several concerts. Finally, you will hear some “traditional” classical music. WMP will perform works by Faure, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Richard Strauss, Elgar, and Beethoven. We’re delighted to have outstanding artists Tom Pandolfi, the Washington Saxophone Quartet, Molly Jones, Tim Kidder, Karl Hovey, John Sutherland Earle, Charles Williams, and Marlisa Woods and others performing with the orchestra.
