However, most of WMPA’s funding comes from earned income and individual and corporate donations. You can help! The most direct way that you can help WMPA is through an individual monetary donation or corporate sponsorship. Any and all amounts make a difference. Effective immediately, all WMP regular season concerts will be free and open to the public. TIcket prices should never be a barrier to exposure to the arts, and this season at WMPA, it will not be. As we open our doors wider to make our music even more accessible, we invite you to support us in this historic endeavor. Volunteer
There are several ways to support WMPA, and not all of them are financial. The Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Guild (“Guild”) was established in 2008 by the Board of Directors for the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association (“WMPA”). The Guild is to be the volunteer arm of WMPA, providing assistance to the Board as it seeks to fulfill the mission of WMPA: to inspire and instill a lifelong passion for the performance of classical music in artists and audience through stimulating concerts, culturally diverse collaborations, and educational outreach.
Guild members contribute in a number of ways to WMPA’s success: fundraising, front of house management, marketing, event planning, etc. We value the skills, life experiences, and talents that you possess, and we believe that you will find the Guild to be a satisfying use of your time and energy.

Events and Trips
In addition, WMPA conducts fundraising events and organizes travel opportunities for music lovers. It has hosted gala events at the George Washington National Masonic Memorial and Church of the Epiphany. WMPA has also organized five trips to Europe in the past seven years. During the 2008-09 season the Association will host a trip to Ireland for ten days in the fall. These trips raise a small amount of money, and more importantly, result in permanent supporters.
