About Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association
Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (incorporated in 1987) composed of musicians and music lovers dedicated to making high-quality musical performances and opportunities accessible to the community.
WMPA is comprised of several major programs, including three orchestras, a free summer concert series, concerto and composition competitions, and other proogramming and intiiatives; we celebrate the living, breathing nature of music—music that moves with time, moves its audiences, and makes a difference.
